date. Then, we simply added a link in our website to access that information and thereby publicize our fees, hangar rates, overnights, etcetera,” Wade says. “We may desire to do it differently in the future, but for now we wanted to show that this was an easy way to manage the information and get it posted for guests that other FBOs could emulate. FBOs can post their fees online in any fashion they desire, but this may be a good first or even long-term way to provide that information without their guests having to make a phone call to the FBO.” Wade says the feedback from his customers has been positive. “We’d previously posted our fuel prices, but we hadn’t posted all the hangar rates, overnight fees, facility fees... in the past, you would call us and we would certainly give those to you, but now we’ve added them to the AOPA Airport Directory,” says Wade. “It gives easy access for pilots while they’re planning their visit to the FBO to know what to expect when they get here. I don’t think FBOs have anything to hide in terms of prices and fees, but maybe just haven’t had that information in the easiest access point that would be available to the community. Once it was requested of us, it was an easy enough thing to comply with.” Wade says he’s encouraging all NATA members to join him in adopting the best practices outlined in the Know Before You Go guidance. “We want to show that we are good players in the indus- try and on these kinds of issues when we hear concerns from a group like AOPA we can say, ‘Yes, we hear you’ and ‘Sure, we want to help you out’—for me, it really is as simple as that,” Wade says. “Our customers understand and appreci- ate that there are some costs for the services we provide, and now we better understand and appreciate that accessing information online is important to them.” Continued on page 22 Airline Career Pilot Program ATP is your fast track airline career solution – proven by thousands of graduates now fl ying for regional and major airlines. ê Certifi cation through Commercial and CFI (Multi, Single, Instrument) ê Fast track, fi xed cost, airline-oriented training from day one ê Start with zero time and reach airline minimums in about 2 years with guaranteed CFI job Start with Credit for Private Pilot 6 Month FAST TRACK ATP CTP ê Dallas, TX ê Classes start every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday ê Add $200 for ATM Knowledge Prep & Test $4,895 / 7 Days Airline Discounts Available GI Bill ® Accepted $58,995 Full Financing Available + Airline Tuition Reimbursement Housing Option Available Zero Experience Option Available Aircraft Dispatcher ê 200 hour initial course in Dallas, TX ê All books & training material included ê ADX test prep software & exam included $4,995 / 6 Weeks Financing Available Airline Career Pilot Program Locations Call or text (904) 595-7950 2019-q1-nata-half-page.indd 1 Aviation Business Journal | Spring 2019 ATPFlightSchool.com All prices offered through March 31, 2019.
